Tai Genkai was a lazy little bear who liked to hang out in the bonsai garden. One day he fell asleep and the tree grew around him. Tai Genkai is 2 1/2" tall sitting and crocheted from tan acrylic thread. His eyes are black fiber optic beads while his nose and mouth are hand stitched from silk thread. The Bonsai tree portion is crocheted from green eyelash yarn. Wicker tray is 6 1/2" long and filled with sphagnum moss. This is the perfect Bonsai tree as it doesn't need to be watered. This bear was created as a result of a challenge to create a bear that resembled a Bonsai tree in the lovejapanesebearies yahoo group. Tai Genkai was featured in the February 2006 issue of Teddy Bear Scene.
